Arby's is pro hunting???

In general, wild game meat can not be sold by individuals in most states, but there are even some exceptions to that. I read an article recently where a trial program was in effect allowing the sale of venison as a means to incentivize hunting, and cull the deer herd. It was somewhere in the north east, possibly Pennsylvania, but the location escapes me.

True, but my point was that if Arby's is selling Venison sandwiches they are likely sourcing the meet from farms (which the article posted above explicitly states). Small exceptions here and there aren't going to allow for enough venison to be sourced for a profitable business unless it's imported or farmed. Some people have a problem with farm raised wildlife, some don't. I'm not here to convince people one way or the other, I was just pointing it out.

The original reason selling wild game meat became largely illegal in the U.S. was to promote conservation and deter slaughter for money. It has been effective and I personally don't want to see that change, though I can see certain exceptions in specific situations with overpopulation of a species.

If they care about the future of hunting they should donate the profits from their venison sandwiches to CWD research. Farmed venison has no place in society let alone fast food in my opinion.

Anything else you want to piss and moan about? I bet you're a ray of sunshine most days. Be happy they're for us and not against us.
