I love precision rifles and shooting a long way but this is just another example of how people are taking shots they shouldn't because there's a chance.. Both the parties in this story from the sounds of things. throwing lead.

Wouldn't be opposed to a 400 or 500 yard max shot distance laws even though they'd be tough to enforce.

Might as well do a 25yrd law for archery while your at it.

I'll say this, I've crossed paths with Aram before, nice polite guy on the surface.

This story does not surprise me one bit, this ain't the first time he's pulled some shady/selfish things when it comes to hunting.

I think both sides of the story are descriptive of buffoonery. From the woman hunter's description of needing help to shoot, calling hits via sound, the distances involved, to the writer guy's internally conflicting story (the one posted here on pg 2ish).

I don't think she had any claim to the animal since she didn't kill it, and I also think he is a super tool.

Solution---> kill things dead the first try and then recover them in a timely manner.

If your fellow hunter... or spouse has to set your rifle up, dial your scope and tell you how to shoot then you have absolutely no business shooting past 100-150 yards.

Regardless, both parties seem irresponsible.

I could never goat in on another person who is tracking a deer they shot at and then cut ahead and shoot it out from under their noses.

Wrong on many levels...
