Hey all!

It's time to replace my old beat up Lowas. I was looking at the Lapponia 3, and the boot itself fit super well, but I don't like the 8" height, I generally prefer 6". Looks like the Lapponia Lite is super similar, but with that lower height. Does anyone have any experience with that boot as far as durability, support, etc goes especially compared to Crispi's other offerings? Or if there other boots I should be looking at I'm not locked in.

I have the lites and like them. They are noticeably lighter than my Briksdal mtns. Sizing is the same. I do prefer the Briksdal mtn in steep rougher country or with heavier packs.

Makes sense. I could definitely see a taller boot being better for hiking out loaded. Might need to look into other lacing types to stop some of that chafing.

I couldn’t get them to fit me right and sold them after my feet started to hurt. My Lapponia 3’s fit great and are super comfortable.

I have one season on a pair. Generally I like them, very light, nice level of flex, great quality. My one gripe would be that they have a pretty thin lining (for weight I'm sure), and I can feel creases in the leather, lace points, and other details on the top and sides of my foot, especially when tightened down. I found that with a summer weight wool sock this is not a problem. Thin synthetic socks are a bit uncomfortable due to these pressure points. But overall I like the boot. I consider it my early/mid season or day hunt boot. Lighter pack, higher temps. If I was going colder or heavier, I would wear my insulated Nevadas.
