Did you do their standard load or go through the process to get a load for your gun?I’ve gone through 500 rounds or so from them, nothing negative yet. Only used on 4 hunts (2 elk, deer and bear) but the results were tasty!
Standard load for a 7mm. I was going to go through the process of a custom load but didn’t feel the need for as good as their standard round did.Did you do their standard load or go through the process to get a load for your gun?
For me it's just produced better groups and more consistent results in mine and my father's rifle at long distances. Plus when I order from CC I don't have to wonder whether the different boxes of ammo are coming from the same lot, they automatically make sure you get it all from the same lot. What are the benefits of buying from someone like copper creek vs factory mass produced ammo? I am assuming for the non-reloader its more about consistency in powder charge which in turn is more consistent MV? There is a factory load I love to shoot, and it performs well, but there are several hundred FPS differences between lot#'s I have found.
All true. I didnt take my chronograph as I was just trying to get a couple new guns zeroed. Its a nice option to try at $50 per box with Hornady brass. Only loaded ammo for a 243 Winchester with a 108 ELD-M that I could find.I bought a bunch of .223 ammo from them because they loaded with Lapua brass and at the time that was the only way I could find that brass. It shot reasonably well, but the ES was incredibly erratic.
I ended up using the same bullet and that brass and got it even more accurate and shrunk the ES by 60%. I guess my barrel didn’t like whatever powder they used.
Like anything else, all ammo is barrel specific. Just because it worked well or didn’t work in one barrel doesn’t mean a darn thing in another.
I do the same with t3x lite. Works very good.Just sent some 108 Eld-m through my 1:8 Tikka in 243 Winchester. Shoots very well so far. Didnt do the load development ammo, just their standard loaded ammo. Pretty happy with the results. 243 Winchester
