Anyone use US military APECS for back packing rain gear ?

Besides being a bit heavy this stuff should be very durable. Goretex fully taped seams, and affordable. What say you ?

I used this on my last mule deer hunt and it worked great. We were day hunting so I wasn't worried about weight or pack space though. If I was going into the backcountry I'd take my outdoor research rain gear which packs to half the size and probably 1/4 the weight.

Hey Deli - do you have a rough idea on weight?
I don't have a weight but when packed up it's probably double the size of my patagonia torrentshell so probably twice as heavy as a standard good rain coat. I'll still use for day hunting since they are cheap and I like the camo pattern and extra pockets but wouldn't likely use for backcountry.
