Anyone tried Wild Things Gear?

I tried their eVent jacket and pants about 5 years ago and thought the construction was solid. I didn't like the pants because they didn't have a belt and would ride down. I did like the jacket but someone liberated it from my pickup before I could really test it out and I ended up replacing it with a different brand. WTG has updated their lines (pants now have a belt) since I purchased and are selling outerwear at 45% off for 4th of July. I know they used to offer big Mil/LE discounts also but don't know if they still do. I really like that they are made in the USA but my gear budget is done for the year. I'm certainly not "endorsing" them but I do wish I had some extra cash sitting around to be able to try it out. I'm definitely curious if anyone else has tried them out, especially the newer lines?

I'm issued the soft shell SO 1.0 jacket and pants, and an older wind shirt. I like all three. The soft shells are great, but I would not be inclined to use them for BP hunting. The wind shirt goes everywhere with me in my pack. I wish it was the newer version with a hood, pockets, and drawstring in the lower hem. I have looked their hard shell and would be inclined to get one, but it is sized to fit over body armor. The hard shells are made of e vent. I have a jacket made by TAD that uses e vent and I'm very happy with it. Hope this helps. Where did you see the 45% off? I may just have to up grade my wind shirt.

I bought two items this spring. A guide jacket in the kryptek pattern and a wind pro hoody. The jacket is well designed in the features dept and cut,but is not for all around use, meaning if it rains a lot you will get wet. Cool features it gets a 10 for customization and pattern. Overall grade for multi functional I give it a 6.5. The hoody is polar tec wind pro fleece. It offers a nice nice insulating layer that is lightweight, dries quickly and will break the wind. It also gets a 10 in the cool factor with the design features and receives a 9 for overall use. It will be with me this fall, but the jacket will stay home and be on dog walks:).

I have a wind pro hoody that I really like. I great piece that pretty much goes every where with me now. Cuts wing pretty decent and I like that you can custom the build. I don't like looking like everyone else, and now I don't. The price point is good with it being made in America. I am going to check out the sale and see if I can't add another piece to the collection, I've been looking for a new hardshell. I have noticed that the sizes tend to run a pretty normal. Meaning they are not an athletic cut like some other brands. I run between a XL and L most of the time. I ordered the XL and now wish that I would have gone with the Large.

After starting this thread I pulled out my old set and started looking them over to see if I could add a belt. Next thing I knew I was breaking out the Havel knife and doing some surgery.
