I wish their website would provide info on the packed size of their products including photos. Raingear is my specific interest but the same info is needed on puffy jackets, etc.
Lol....so people replying to your initial statement that (to me at least) seems pretty uninformed means they have their "panties in a twist"?Yeah, I knew y’all would get your panties in a twist. Recco reflectors… at that point someone is looking for my body and I no longer care.
Got it, so saving a few bucks is more important to you than supporting American business. You do understand that making goods here in the USA costs more than making it in China, right? You understand that labor costs over here are significantly higher than China, right? If you understand those two things than you understand why Forloh gears costs more than (and frankly, not that much more) than comparable gear from a company that makes stuff in China. You complaining about the price isn't going to change the root cause that America made gear costs more....it's simple economics. There are those of us seeing the direction this country is going and don't like what they are seeing, so they are voting with their pocket books and supporting companies that support their values.I do hate freedom.
Nah the way I see it these companies will only come down in cost if you prove it’s not worth your time and money. I am reflecting just that. One could likely add the word “yet”.
I’m a gear head too, but sometimes rokslide is just a bunch people that think they are better than others. Often it’s just chest thumping that you don’t need camo. But Sometimes the USA made hang up just becomes virtue signaling and falls into the noise with wokeness. I’m perfectly fine with this, I’m just not going to foot the bill. Some of the high end hunting outlets pay attention here so I’m shedding some light on my position alone.
I hunt and fish hard and test my gears limits. BUT my style of hunting is a bit exceptional. I don’t expect others views to align, just pointing out that there are more than the two crowds generally catered to.
So you're basically saying you want American made, high quality gear for cheaper than made in china prices? Lol if you catch the right sale and compare it to the right overseas overpriced clothing its possible, but it'd have to be one hell of a sale!I do hate freedom.

Im genuinely not trying to be a jerk, i am curious what price point you would like to see forloh be at tho? I honestly feel like forloh is competitively priced(especially on sale, i dont think ive paid full price for anything from forloh) when you look at what sitka, first lite, kuiu and stone glacier charge for their clothing that is all sourced and made overseas with cheap labor in communist countriesCome on. I’m a simple guy and I’m straight forward. So try not to read into stuff too far; I’m certainly not implying anything past the words I type(d). However, some of you fellas are displaying the elitist attitudes I was speaking about.
Of course, if forloh costed a significant amount more than the stuff i was wearing before, but its really not. I bought most of my forloh at 25-30% off tooThere’s a price you wouldn’t pay for USA made goods also.
I hear ya, was just wondering if you were singling them out thats the reason i asked. Its all expensive!I’m by no means singling them out. The prices of the other goods that you mentioned are far too great as well. As a middle class guy I was trying to be heard. I realize most of you guys likely double my income. I guess this is what I get for participating.
While i have seen guys say that and admit there is probably some truth to it, i think almost all of forlohs clothing comes in solids and camo both, the couple pieces that arent offered in both are actually only available in camo i think and they dont charge any extra for camo or solids over the other unlike some brands. I live and hunt out west and all my hunting stuff except for one pair of pants is camo for instanceIt’s worth mentioning that part of what I was trying to point out is also a product line disconnect. For most companies there’s the head to toe camo, treestand line and the ‘we don’t need camo’ “western” line. What I do is
smack in the middle. I’m the odd ball and I know everyone won’t need what I do. Again, I’m just trying to be heard.
I’m sure you are a good guy, but I think you just got a bit of ribbing for the panties comment and saying that members think they are better than others. It’s fine imho to not want to buy Forloh, but no need to make class comments. Maybe you didn’t mean to be. And apologies for the Alone Guy remark - probably not fair (and perhaps before you joined).I’m by no means singling them out. The prices of the other goods that you mentioned are far too great as well. As a middle class guy I was trying to be heard. I realize most of you guys likely double my income. I’m in the east. I hunt the east but western style. I’ve never been able to afford to go out of state much. I also am not much for online stuff so if I come off wrong that’s usually the problem.
I didn’t figure y’all for the type(s) that would laugh a realtree/ walmart camoed guy out of camp it just can *seem* that way when these topics come up.
