Anyone in here from MD ?

Unfortunately my landowner has informed me that our lease has been sold to the state here in MD, So I am trying to get ahead of the game and find a new club to join on the eastern shore on MD for whitetails or sitka deer. Any leads of a lease or club would be much appreciated

I’m from MD but not on the Eastern shore. It’s interesting to me how the eastern shore public land system is completely different from the rest of the state. We don’t have any clubs or anything. Public land is either free with a phone call reservation or just free with no reservations. Do all of the Chesapeake forest lands require being in a club to hunt?

All of my experience hunting on the eastern shore has been at Eastern neck and the black water complex

The state allows public hunting on some of the Chesapeake forest lands, but not all. Some of those properties they lease to private hunt clubs. Would be nice if you could hunt all of it!
