They are on the western peninsula the very northern end. The WP been hit pretty hard on the moose population over the last few years. Same with caribou, seems to be lagging in recovery. A buddy of mine hunted with Tuckamore and spoke highly of Barb and her crew, it’s pretty posh and their prices reflect the enmity’s more so then than hunt for a drive in camp. I would get the tag allotments and harvest numbers for the area.
I cant comment on the hunting at Tuckamoor or the moose population. And this may be 100% useless info to you. But their nephew is one of the float pilots I use for my fly-in moose camps in Alberta.
And he is about as standup / scholar of a gentlemen you could ever meet.
So if his Aunt and Uncle are anything like him, I cant see it being a bad hunt.
I've hunted with Barb. She runs a good operation. A few nice ones are shot, but most of the bulls taken are not "big" by any stretch. That's true with most outfitters in Newfoundland.
