Anyone have trouble with the phone skope adapter for iPhone X?

I'm having an issue with the Phone Skope adapter piece not securing well to the phone case. Whenever I get it in place (the two arrows lined up) and get a full image through the phone camera the weight from the phone pulls the adapter down, making me re-adjust it constantly just trying to get it to stay in place or fall off. The other issue is it doesn't seem to fit very well over the eye cup on my ELs. I tried putting a piece of electrical tape on the inside to make it seat against the eye cup a little better but it only seems to help marginally. I double checked to make sure I have the correct part number and everything. Just kinda disappointed with a product that otherwise gets great reviews. Wondering if anyone else has run into similar issues. Thanks.

Yeah I’ve had a ton of issues with phoneskope adapters. I had 5 or 6 to cover all my optics with my iPhone 6.

2 fit ok, the swaro one I got, returned, for another and still didn’t work right. Had to tape it with about 6 layers of electrical tape.

Had a vortex one also and that was the opposite problem, needed a little visit from the dremel.

My brother has a phoneskope still and has had some similar issues. Tried the universals too and it seems the QC is really lacking or they have some crazy tolerances.

When I upgraded to the iPhone X I upgraded to the Novagrade adapter. Rock solid, way better than phone skope and as a bonus I’ll never need to buy another ring or case which was probably my biggest beef.

Since phoneskope is so custom there’s no resale for the things that are way overpriced and they just end up as junk after a year or two if you change phones or optics.

That's disappointing to hear. I was pretty convinced I have a bum adapter but it sounds like it's a more common problem. Oh well. I was really looking forward to getting my new optics out and getting some good photos and video while scouting in a couple weeks which I guess I still can. Just really disappointed it's so finicky.
