Anyone have better success using RainX anti-fog than I did?

Had an inexpensive Bushnell Trophy scope unmounted doing nothing so I decided to try out RainX anti-fog on the lens surfaces and applied as directed. Put the scope in my freezer for 5 minuets' then removed it and it fogged up as bad as if I hadn't used the RainX .

Is this proof RainX anti-fog doesn't work or was my test to severe and hase anyone out there tried RainX anti-fog on their scopes or binos and had it work well and prevented you scope or binos from fogging?

The coatings on the lenses may affect how it works. Also the RainX could damage the coatings so it's a risk either way. I wouldn't try it on an expensive scope.

Your test is too severe the temp swing is too great too quick. Even high end scopes with coatings will fog in between large sudden temp swings. I wouldn't use anything but recommended lens cleaners on coated lens scopes.

I use rainX on all my cars. Works great.
However I never tried it / nor would I try it on my scopes.
