Anyone have a boa system break?

I got some zamberlan boots with a boa, I'm wondering what are the chances of it breaking realistically?

I broke it on a pair of redwing works boots I abused and beat the piss out of for a year or so.

I’ve run several different boots and shoes with them I always carry an extra lace just in case. I had some wading boots from Simms and had to replace them at least once every year or so. Just got in the habit of leaving an extra boa set up in my drift boat and one in my truck. If I had them on a pair of hunting boots I would just leave it in my bag
