I'm thinking of building a pair of rifles based on the bumblebee/vampire actions....but I tend to shoot a lot. I don't make a habit of babying my gear and these will see nearly all their time in the field or riding on the passenger seat blasting wheat fields chasing yotes.

I'm curious how the bolt raceways and the finish on the action hold up.

Any signs of ring bite on the rail?

Any corrosion ar the lug abutment joint?

Thanks in advance.

TTP as they say. Looks like a good question. Have there really been no responses re: Bumblebee / Vampires Actions holding up over time?

With a bumblebee, I have around 900-ish from a 300 WSM. I swapped the barrel to a 6.5 PRC; it has around 1100 rounds. I would guess the scope rings have been swapped five times. I've had zero issues with the action.

I have two vampires, one with about 600 and the other pushing close to 1000. I’ve mounted and un mounted a bunch of scopes on them and they are holding up well. They are one of my favorite actions.
