Anyone ever used Ram River Outfitters?

I'm thinking about booking a goat or sheep hunt with this ram river outfitters. The owner is Greg Boyd. They are in Alaska. They hunt the north side of the chugach as I understand it. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this outfit. He told me they have been over 90% on sheep and goats. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Never heard of this operation before although his name sounds familiar..

For sheep in the unit he hunts (chugach draw area) Go with dan montgomery, Bill stevenson, or lance kronberger. those guys make their bacon in that country.

Hopefully someone will speak up about his credibility but id be wary of someone who isn't very known. Did he provide you with any references?

He has a bunch of references. Says he has guided the area since 1978. His price seemed nice. I know that isn't necessarily a good thing. He offered my booking agent a special of $5500.

For a goat hunt that is. Sheep is quite a bit more and you have to draw a tag.

Thats the lowest price for a goat hunt I've ever seen. but hey, could be a great hunt at a even better price! Really do your homework before you throw any money down.

That is a good price, check his references, especially those who were not successful.

There is one report on huntingreport.com. It was a sheep hunt in 2005. The feedback was favorable.
