Anyone ever call in a mountain lion?

I used to call coyotes a lot, it’s been awhile since I’ve been out, just wondering if anyone has called in a cat and what call did you use?

I dedicated a week targeting lions right after new year's. Never did call one in but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Mostly blind calling since there was minimal snow at the time

I have no personal experience but I do know that Jon Collin’s with the FoxPro podcast did an episode with Stacey Morris about calling in lions that I found very intriguing!

Seen one listening to a Foxpro from a distant rock outcropping, maybe 125 yards or so. Lost interest and walked into the brush. Did not have a tag at the time.

We saw a cat under thermal about 200 yards away. Hit a mouse call on the caller and it turned a made a bee line right to it. I'm pretty sure it was a bobcat and not a mountain lion though.

I called one in Javelina hunting in AZ, was with the kids and wife, shot it about 50 yards. Wasn't intentional, got lucky with an obvious hungry cat. I was just using a old wood Lohman hand held jack rabbit call I've had for years. Sat down on an the edge of a draw overlooking some broken ground. Started calling and saw it coming. It hung up about 200 yards out, I thought it was a coyote at first. When I kept calling it came in at run, got a little intense for a minute. My wife gave me the death look because we had a couple little ones. I shot it front on when it stopped and sat on its haunches in some brush about 50yards out. Game and Fish put it as a 2year old male, he was in good shape. Only one I've known I've called in, right place right time right circumstances is the only reason it happened for me.

When I was a kid my dad loved to call coyotes and we hunted at night often. There had been a couple lion sightings in the general area but hadn't thought much about it. We used a light with a red lens and would scan while calling from time to time. I was in charge of the light while he called, scanning the horizon I noticed something flying above the center of the light and took us both a second to realize what it was as it hit the ground. It was a lion that had spooked from the light and jumped, I dunno maybe like 300 feet (lol) in the air but it was way up there. Never had a chance at a shot because he was already doing mach 50 by the time his feet touched the ground.

Same general area turkey hunting in some extreme fog with very little visibility. We always killed turkeys there, but they were just dead. We called and called with zero response as we walked along a field edge near a river bottom. We got to the end of the field edge and decided to go to a different area so turned around and started walking back towards the truck and a lion screamed, very close by and loud. Man that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck for sure. I think he's probably the reason the turkeys were gone and was probably stalking the turkey hen he heard walking the field edge until he ran into us coming back the other way.
