Bit of a stupid post, I feel like I’m running in circles. Curious if I need to embrace 1 or the other or just party on because I’ve found what makes me happy.

I use both a stud bino adapter and a strap bino adapter. I enjoy both in different situations. Does anyone else use both? Seems like every time the debate pops up everybody is in one camp or the other.

I use the post style adapter when I’m only carrying my 10s and 15s. I much prefer the post when glassing with a pan head. The post allows me to rotate the binos if the tripod head isn’t perfectly level while panning.

I use the clamp style adapter when I’m carrying bino and spotter. I much prefer the clamp style when using a ball head. It allows me to quickly pull off my bino, stash it in my chest pouch, and throw on the spotter. I feel like I have better control of my ball head if the glass isnt on the post and is instead mounted as low as possible. My only complaint with the strap style is it adds bulk and makes the binos less friendly to hand hold. I’m debating replacing my RRS cinch with one of the lower profile variations available.

Id replace your clamp style adapter with either a wiser or aziak clamp. I think youll like the lack of bulk much better with either or those. The wiser may be more your style if you prefer the attachment point in the center of the bino however you wont be able to tilt like a center post can.

I’ll get one ordered. I was getting tired of moving the cinch strap between binos so I figured I’d ask if anyone had ran down the same rabbit hole.

I use the Aziak on my two primary pairs of binos because in the field, I have either my walking stick or tripod. On my walking stick I epoxied a 1/4-20 threaded stud into the top of it, so I can use it as a monopod, swapping between a V-yoke as a rifle rest and my binos.

Before going with Aziak I had bought two of the Vortex "sport" quick adapters, basically the stud style but with a mating "cup". I keep that on my "truck binos", a pair of 10x32's I keep there so I always have something while I'm driving around. It's a decent system.
