Anyone done business with a friend?

I've not had good experiences working with friends. I hired a couple friends years ago. It just never worked out. I imagine at some point one or both of you will need to have a hard conversation with the other. I would think really hard about how either of you would react.

No direct experience, but being in business with a friend sounds about as complex as marriage minus some of the fun.

I did work for a friend in highschool. I had a solid work ethic and he was even handed, so it was great. But, I wouldn't expect that again. It also was one of those things with no formal agreement, more an as available week to week thing with manual labor where I appreciated being able to make money and he appreciated someone who worked hard. I cannot think of any friend or family member other than my wife I would be in business with.

Thats been my opinion for 40 years, but apparently I was addicted to those asses and the drama.
