any reason why it might be dumb to use a hunting backpack for backpacking? (Stone Glacier Sky Guide 7900)

Don't see why not. I would use my hunting pack for back camping now.
I've used older North Face El Lobo 65L for years. Haven't really had others for comparison, other than my new to me Kuiu Icon Pro 7200.

Pondering this question - have an older North Face Vapor 85 - not sure it is much litghter than a EXo K4 5000 for the same size...

My SG is the most comfortable pack I use by far compared to my Gregory and Northface… but I spend probably spend 150-200 hours under that pack a year so it’s going to feel more comfortable. I don’t fret over 3-5lb anymore like I used to but maybe when I hit my 60’s I’ll be more inclined to get a lighter pack.
