Any photos of big fox squirrels?

Yeah it was down towards the Sandhills region, bout an hour from SC line.

You eastern guys have more color variation than we have around here. I have seen a handful of all black squirrels but nothing like the last few pictures. I like it.

I live in TN and I've only seen the orange reddish fox squirrels here. I didn't know they came in so many colors!

Here in the hills of western 90% fox and 10% black by my precise calculations! A bud of mine bow hunts white tail in small timber by one of our corn fields. So me being a nice guy I se his tree stand close to the corn field and decide to spill a little corn by the edge of the of the field. Run into my hunter short time latter and ask how bow hunting going. He asked if I spilled that corn pile. I say yes and ask if helped his hunting. He jumped my poop and said don’t do that ! Two reasons he laughed 1 the game warden wouldn’t like baiting and 2 there was six squirrels eating on that corn and would bark like hell everytime he moved.

Never seen a fox squirrel in NY. Are they here? Plenty of grey's and red's,. Seen a couple black ones.

We definitely have fox squirrels in Western NY. I hunt in Chautauqua county and see a few every year. Just one this year. They are rare enough that I’ve never taken a shot at one, hoping that there will be a few more the next year. But I’ve never seen more than one at a time, so likely not much breeding taking place around here.

All the fox squirrels i see are on the ground near a field or pasture. 2-3x larger than gray squirrels,

See both black and orange colored ones.

near a Longleaf pine nearby when I see one.
