any Land Cruiser 100 owners

Had an 80 series, sold it and kick myself every other day. Looking at 100 series lately. Currently driving the baby brother GX 470.

Spent the better part of 6 months looking for the right rust free 100 series and couldn’t make it happen. Picked up a 1st gen sequoia to scratch the itch until I pick one up. Got tired of spending hours every day on marketplace, craigslist and bring a trailer.

I had a ‘99 with factory rear locker that I bought in 2003 with 105,000 miles on it.

Sold it to get out of debt.

Bought an 87 FJ60 in 2007 which I still have.

My daily driver’s since then have been a 2006, then 2007, and now 2016 Sequoia.

I like the Sequoia for the size, but it’s no Landcruiser.

I’m always searching for a 2006-2007 100 series.

Had an 87 FJ60 that I sold to buy a triple locked 94 FZJ80.

Picked up a low mileage '07 LX 470 a couple years ago, the AHC alone is worth it.

For you guys that have the Lexus GX460, what mods do you have done and what kind of fuel mileage do you see?

I’m selling my daily driver Lexus IS because I’m tired of crawling in and out of it. I’m moving to an SUV of some kind and it will be used because of the miles I drive.

I had a gx460. Only mods I made were proper tires. Seriously- it’s a capable vehicle as is.

Same with my 200 series that I foolishly sold for a truck. Just tires and send it.

Agreed. I have a gx470- my first was stock with bigger tires. My second one has a 2-3” lift, rock sliders, and some interior mods…. I liked the stock one better.

Did you pull the factory molded running boards or just let them be? The 460 has always intrigued me.

On our GX I just went up one size from the factory tire size using wildpeak AT3's., no other mods except a better roof rack for our tent.
Prior to the GX we had 2 5th gen 4runners which we liked but the GX actually is getting better MPG even with a V8/fulltime 4wd.
We don't use premium gas and average 17 MPG in town and 20-21MPG on the highway.

I left them be. I figured if I trashed them I would replace them. The downside is you have to do a body chop to make aftermarket boards work (at least from what I’ve seen).

Yeah slightly more aggressive all terrain tires (probably Wild Peak AT4) is all I would be looking to do, other than maybe a couple of bolt on accessories.
