Every on post I have read here and on the kifaru forums indicate that you can't choose too long stays from those available, but too short is a real issue.

im 5'6 and have 26" stays on my timberline. I havnt found anything wrong with them, actually i like the extra lift. I could have easily gotten away with 24"

Yep, my wife is 5'3 and uses 26" stays in her KU 5200. No issues, just dial in the lift height on the pack.

I've been using 26" stays in my KU5200 for the last year with no problems at all, though I am aware they are probably overkill for me at 5'3. The rationale for the taller stays (as stated by my husband Luke) was to give me more lift with heavy loads. I have had no issues getting enough lift, before or since the upgrade...I suspect the real reason he wanted the greater stay length was to make it easier to borrow my pack...

If you found a good deal on a pack with longer stays, I would go for it....

Edit: Luke and I were apparently replying at the same time....
