Any Bergara fans?

Anyone have experience with factory Bergara rifles? I’m specifically interested in the B14 Timber model (I’m a wood stock kinda guy) probably in 6.5 Creedmoor. I like trying different reputable brands and Bergara was next on my list. Would like some opinions on overall out of the box quality and accuracy just to get a general consensus as to how they shoot and feel. Thanks in advance!

Both my sons have B-14 Wilderness Ridge rifles in 7mm mag, shooting 180 grain Berger VLD hunters less than 0.5 moa. They are a bit heavy but tack drivers. I shoot Browning Xbolts, but if I didn't have 3 of them I would switch to Bergera's. As they are a Rem 700 type they have more easy to find stuff.

One of the prettiest wood stocks I ever saw was on a Bergara years ago. I remember it was only $649 brand new but I passed because it was a 270, still regret that. I have heard they are great rifles.

I have a bergara ridge 6.5 cm and it shoots extremely well, bolt runs well, a little barrel heavy.

I have a Wilderness Hunter 300 win mag. Quickly becoming my favorite rifle the more I shoot it. Smooth bolt, good trigger and love the feel of the stock.

Agreed, extremely nice trigger for an inexpensive production rifle. Forgot to mention that.

I've got a B-14 Hunter in .30-06, no complaints. Like the stock, like the bolt, like the trigger. I could gripe about the weight, but if it was lighter I'd be griping about recoil.

I have a .308. I had my buddy shoot it some when we were breaking in the rifle. He was even impressed by the accuracy. We were nailing small pieces of broken clays at 100 yards.

Another nice thing with Bergara... when it's time to rebarrel, they will rebarrel w/ cerakote with a premier barrel for a good price.

Now the big question…any experience with their customer service if you get one that doesn’t shoot well?

I’ve been a fan of the Tikkas (which are generally shooters) but if you happen to get a lemon you’re pretty much stuck with it. Experienced it myself and may never buy another. To me bad customer service is enough to lose my business.

I’ve been a fan of the Tikkas (which are generally shooters) but if you happen to get a lemon you’re pretty much stuck with it. Experienced it myself and may never buy another. To me bad customer service is enough to lose my business.

My Bergara had the screws for mounting optics in too tightly and were stripping as I tried to remove them. They responded and fixed it ASAP no hassle.

I had issues that were as much my inexperience as much as the gun but their customer service was great. It just takes forever on hold sometimes.

My B14 Ridge 6.5 PRC is the most accurate rifle I've ever owned, right off the bat. First 5 shots through it were one ragged hole at 100 yards.

Not apples to apples but I just got a B14R 22lr and it's scary accurate. Fit, finish perfect and cycles like a custom rifle. Going to be fun shooting steel out to 400yds.

I have a Bergara Premier mountain rifle in 6.5cm. Excellent rifle, shoots .5 moa. Shot a buck in the heart bedded at 630 yards last weekend. I feel very comfortable with this rifle and it makes me a better shooter.

I sold it to help fund an upgrade. Fast forward 3 years and I have my own custom build now.

I have the 308 Hunter also and it is very nice. It was my rifle of choice last year. I like it as much as my Tikka. It has a more solid feel than the Tikka, mainly because of the stock. The Tikka bolt is more "ball bearing" feel while the Hunter is just smooth in an old school way (if that makes sense). Both have nice triggers. I recommend getting both!

I’m sure noticing a positive pattern from the .308 owners! Maybe I should consider one of those over the Creedmoor, lol.
At this point I’m very encouraged about Bergara. As much as I think Tikka makes a great product, they just don’t seem to stand behind their product in the rare case you get a lemon (at least in my experience). All other factors being about equal, it sounds like Bergara is worth a try!
