I’m pretty much done using a spotting scope. Two eye views for long glassing sessions is much preferable to me. Currently using 15x/16x....anybody want to share their experience with 20x binoculars

I wish more companies made a 20x. I have been using the new Maven 18s and love them. I don't think 15x offer enough over my 12x to upgrade. But the 18x certainly do IMO.

I mounted 2 kowa spotters together with 30x eyepieces. It works really well and is amazing glass. Weighs 7.5 lbs and my 4.5 lb tripod setup handles it great.

I got rid of my spotter last year and picked up the BTX. It’s 30x but damn it’s nice.

The BTX is in a league by itself. But I am not always up to packing it.

Can say what the weight will be on those 18x?

You can’t cheat the mountain

I totally agree. This thing is next level. I haven’t taken it on a proper backpack hunt yet, just a couple overnighters , but I may get the 65mm objective to help motivate me when it comes to packing it on longer hunts.

I've asked this question before...not many using those 20x nikons or others...and I've never had a chance to use/compare them to anything.

Seems like they would be fantastic.

Agreed

I know my 16x binoculars gives a 20x spotting scope a run for its money.

I would imagine 20x could possibly challenge a 25-30x scope
