What bullet are you choosing if you're limited to 2.95 COAL ?

Research the length of bullets and start writing down the possibilities that give the OAL you're looking. Seems like a good place to start.

What species, what range are you wanting to shoot? Again, back to what I said above, do some research and see what shows up.

I've confirmed that the following fit under 2.90" Coal with at least 0.050" jump to the lands on my Tikka WSM. 175 LRX, 190 Speer Impact, 172 Speer Impact, and 165 TTSX. 180 CX is pretty long but is also available in factory rounds, so likely also under 2.950. If you have a Tikka, the 6.5PRC mag will get you 2.99" length if I remember correctly from posts in this forum.

I load 190 CX with no issues in my Kimber's.

I found 180 Norma Bondstrikes and 200 Federal Terminal Ascent factory ammo shot as well as anything I loaded. They all fit in standard magazine length. I was able to load and make fit: 200 ELDX, 175gr LRX and 166gr Hammer Hunter
