Another tent advice thread... sorry

I loved the BA CS2. I don't like the new ones with the D shaped door. The rainbow doors on the old ones was a big plus for me. I think that is why you can still buy a "classic". The only reason I ever got rid of it is because i am generally late season and the CS won't hold up under any real snow.

I have no issues with dropping my pole shelters on the ground during the day or during pack outs. I just try to find enough sticks or rocks to keep the wind from whipping it around. I assume that is how damage would happen.

I use the Hilleberg Unna without the inner. Gets you right around 4lbs and freestanding/bombproof.

I figured it would be well under 4lbs once you remove that inner. It's right at 4?

My Nemo Hornet 2P has been great. It's closer to 2lbs and because of that the materials feel really "light", but it has held up to 27 days of backpack hunting and multiple days of scouting for 3 years now. If I had to give it a negative I would say that it is the smallest 2P tent I have ever slept in, but for one guy and gear it's perfect. Brad

Check out Big Sky International.
I like their exterior pole design and that they're available in neutral colors.
This is a 2p Revolution
