Another influencer in the pisser?

He and his wife were always peddling nonsense. I’m not particularly surprised by this.
The peddling of all the vitamins and other witchcraft by him and his wife, who is not a real medical doctor was always comical and insulting to anybody else that was in the medical field and potentially harmful to patients that have real problems and need real help.

Leave the lady out of it. This is why threads like this get locked. As I said earlier, stick to the charges.

They’ll all stick together, they always do .

I have to listen to this one again. Maybe one of the hacks is illegally taking game with no tags. Lol I’m sorry I just couldn’t help myself.

Well if he dosent shoot any animals he can’t make any content right? Problem is once it goes public it’s pretty easy to quickly figure out that he didn’t have a tag.

The smart thing would be to find some OTC opportunity but that would cost him time and money.

When people say this i wonder why? Chances are whatever replacement option funds a similar outcome. May as well just fund them the 1 time lol
I’m joking man, it’s an overpriced, but nice little tool, I’ll enjoy hunting with it knowing that jackass likely loses his hunting privileges cause he can’t follow the rule/ just had to have more CONTENT!!

Ya, its very sad to see this stuff happening no matter who does it but it's worse when these guys with these big platforms do it.

I always here "I'm doing this so i can use my platform for the good of conservation and to show anti-hunters that we hunters do things the right way". What a load of sh#t, every time one of these guys with a huge following does this crap it just adds fuel to the fire for the weirdo antis.

This crap has to stop, they're ruining it for the people that have a true passion and respect for the outdoors and hunting.

Are they more likely or just when they do get caught we all talk about it?

I don't think there can even be any debate about that honestly. There has hardly been more than a few months between stories about this the last few years- and those are just the ones that get caught. It all comes down to motivation. Last things most of us think about before pulling the trigger is stuff like how awesome the experience is, making sure all the parameters are met for an ethical shot, how stoked we are to provide for out families etc. For them it is likes, attention and dollar signs from their sponsors. One of the worst reasons out there to take a life, in my opinion.

I’m not sure I agree that influencers have negatively affected hunting overall. Just look at the influence and voice that Joe Rogan has via his intro to Cam Hanes then Dudley. Hunting is going out of favor, the same way as most things agricultural and such. Another example…without the social media pressure/exposure from influencers on the public lands I bet that Mike Lee garbage gets left in the BBB.

Fair point, I listen to a lot of JRE and think he's generally a pretty good dude. However, he and Hanes were some of the last ones to that public land sale fight... while we, the average outdoorsmen, were making our reps' phones ring off the hook and frantically writing emails to everyone we could, a lot of influencers were posting about how to buy their merch. A dude I know had a two way conversation with Hanes calling him out for being silent before he finally jumped onboard, actually. Kinda makes you think he only ever did it once he saw that it'd taint his reputation permanently if he didn't say something...

That's a shame; I liked Ryan's hunting videos.
I remember he was the first big American guy I saw come down under to hunt New Zealand public lands and hunt in the New Zealand style.
Tenting as you go and climbing all over some dodgy ground.

It’s funny how every time I read a post about some average guy getting busted poaching the commenters want to see them receive the maximum penalty under law and then some. Then when some “celebrity” hunter gets busted they come to defend the guys character and make excuses how there has to be a reasonable explanation.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
Yup.

Agree not everybody showed up to the fight but me emailing/calling is only a voice of 1, whereas influencers have a network of support even if it’s only perceived.

Unfortunately $$ is the root of all evil, so your point about likes & such is probably right. Nothing I have to worry about, since I only have influence over my 2 yr old at this point.

Most if not 💯% of all the influencers have incredible egos. Along with the amount of time that goes on, their egos even expand further. Most if not 💯% do not have the life experiences , knowledge or abilities they think they have. They see themselves as different and superior. Most if not 💯% of the influencers are one trick ponies and not educated , experienced or well versed on more than one or two topics they brag about. I am glad to see them fall big when they fall. Too much B.S. from them in the hunting world. Hunting is nor a competition but a form of soul cleansing from the rat race of the real world, always has been about that. The shoot big game animals @ over 600 yard crowd is the next wave to fall.

The most important influencer job in history right there. Keep it up man.

When I read the charges, the first thing I thought about was his family. If I remember, he’s got two little girls, and this is certainly gonna affect them.. like all our father’s choices.

Another reason to do it right.

Funny enough I bumped into him and his wife & kids in the backcountry yesterday. He lives just up the road from me…I had no idea about any of this. We had a nice little chat. When I saw this thread, that’s the first thing I thought of too. Hope it’s not what it seems to be, and hopefully their family can get through it. I’m not going to condone intentional wrongdoing, and I’m not generally a fan of the “hunting influencer” concept, but I also hate to see the ill will and vitriol towards others.

Really sorry to see this. Seems out of character for him. Can't say I know him super well but we spent a few days on death hikes together and he's genuinely a very nice person.
Yea man, I dont like any of the insta hunting guys and honestly had the same opinion about him. Hopefully the truth comes out.
