Anyone been in the Maroon Bells this year?
Any of you hunt it early for deer this year? How's the deer herd looking? Are they making a comeback?

I haven't been there, but Colorado deer in that part of the state seem to be doing fine. No hard winters to speak of in last few years which seems to affect that herd as much as anything. I haven't checked the tag numbers, but if they are similar to previous years, bucks should be doing fine. Just rough rough country.

I live up in Aspen and can say that the herds are coming back but are still off their highs from before the 07-08 winter. I chased mountain goats last month and saw some nice bucks over the summer scouting and during the season but wasn't really looking for them. I spent most of time at treeline staring up instead of vice-versa.
