ANOTHER Colorado Wolf dies in Wyoming

Wandering Colorado wolves are likely to die in Wyoming because they wander across the state line into our predator zone. As many of you know, Wyoming has protected, trophy, and predator zones for wolves, and that seems like a reasonable plan for proactive management to me.

We have, I suspect, about 400 wolves in Wyoming. The last report I saw said 300 plus but that was a 2023 count. Montana is said to have about 1000 and wants to kill 500. That seems like a very reasonable proposal.

Colorado seems intent on cutting its own throat with ill thought out policies for management and unrealistic expectations for things like “biodiversity.”

Good info. I agree what Colorado is doing doesn't make sense to me. Sounds like WY and MT have good strategies for managing wolves and protecting big game resources.
