Annihilator Broadheads

Personally, I'd only shoot the XL. I don't buy in on the scoop but I like small compact 3b's. I've heard they are tough for the price.

I'd go with a Cutthroat 3b or Vector MD3 before I shot these. Tooth of the Arrow 1" solid for 4b. Also, the Exodus is a great head. I personally prefer the solid construction but I'm leaning back towards the Exodus as replaceable blades are pretty damn nice. The downside to a expensive fixed head is when you hit the back of one and jack up a blade when practicing. A replaceable blade you just swap the blade and your not down a whole head. The Exodus or Grim Reaper blade retention is tough as nails.

Cutting diameter gives forgiveness in what you "touch". I can't be the only one who has made a questionable shot and either been surprised that it worked out. Looking at the animal and been like damn if I was 1/8" lower or back that would have not panned out. Or hit an animal back and wished I had a bigger cut.

They fly well for me out to 60 yards. They rode around in my quiver this past elk season but wasn’t able to try them out. I have only shot a grouse and a whitetail with them. 7 point at 29 yards. He lifted his leg as I was shooting. Shot through the leg bone and into the heart.

I have a buddy who shot them out of a treestand in WI this year and they worked well on whitetail at close distances. He didn't even bring them with when he came out muley hunting with me this year because they're so noisy in flight and he didn't trust them for longer shots.

They fly phenomenally well and are about as bombproof as you can get. I have some in the standard and XL. But I just can’t get over how small they are. I know it’s in my head but it’s a block for me in taking them actually hunting.

Now my buddy pilfers them and he takes them in the woods.

I have four bows. Two set up with one arrow weight and the other two dialed to another arrow. I carry Iron Will Wide and Valkyrie Blood Eagles. And each bow has a Sevr if I gotta send a bomb follow up.

If you can afford IW, definitely go that route. But I’m sure the Annhilators will do just fine……… just not in my psychotic mind.

How much tuning did you require for the IW. Right now I just shoot rage mechanical but my bow is pretty good with them. Did you bare shaft tune?

I have become a fan of the annihilator heads. 100 gr. XL I shot a calf elk at 30 yards and clean pass through. My wife shot a rag horn bull elk at 24 yards, clean pass through and buried into tree behind. Elk went 100 yards. My buddy shot a big mature bull elk at 45 yards with a slight quarter away. Broadhead was buried in the far shoulder, elk went about 75 yards. For all of us the broadheads shot almost identical to field points.
