Thanks. I’ve got a 1263- also 6 years old. These are fantastic batteries,

I just attempted to do the recall form, but my serial number is too faded to read so I couldn't submit it.

You might want to contact their support. They've been pretty good with me in the past. If you give them proof of purchase like an Amazon invoice from when you bought it, they might honor it anyway.

Thanks for the heads up. I have three of these that are 5 years old and in regular use in my backpack or in my glove box.

Try to take a pic of the end of the unit with a flash on your phone. It can help bring out the faded stuff. In real life this is almost unreadable.

I got the email as well, and I'm curious.. the guys that have been using theirs for 5-6+ years, are they considered safe at this point, or is there always a risk of them being dangerous/defective?

My Model A1263 serial numbers (two purchased in 2020) check out as not part of the recall and okay to use.

Thanks for posting. I have two that I use and take with me regularly for travel and hunts. Will be checking my SNs

I have had one for about 5/6 years. I got the notice from Amazon on it. Model number is in the recall but my serial number checked out as good to go. So I will soldier on with old reliable device. I have 3 Anker power banks all about 5/6 years old a 20k ,10k and I think a 6.8k. I like the 10k the best. Just the right size.

My email gave a number to call if your serial number was faded. My was not legible but I took a pic with my IPAD under some good light and then zoomed it up and I was able make it out.

I just emailed their support directly. I tried using a flash and various light, but it was still too faded. Anker apparently used an AI filter on the image I sent and determined that my serial number is part of the recall.
Replacements ship out in October.

Checked both of mine, purchased in 2021, both are not affected based on the SN lookup on Ankers webpage 🤷‍♂️
