Animal Behavior Book Recommendations

Hey All,

Can anyone recommend any good books on Elk and White Tail animal behavior? I feel truly understanding animal behavior makes you a better hunt. I have a read a lot books on how to hunt the species, but looking for more behavior and ecology books. Thanks!

I, too, wouldn't mind a book on this. I hear on every podcast, "well, if you understand animal behavior, then..." Well, I've got a basic idea, but I can't sit out behind glass all summer long watching them here in Central Ohio, so I guess reading up on it is my only choice.

I am in the same boat. I'm in NY so the only time I can get out and learn about the animal is when I am hunting which would have been a total of one time so far. I need all the help I can get learning about these animals. Someone on another forum just recommended Whitetail Savy to me. Still need something on Elk.
