So I’m curious, because I’ve been looking at FORLOH, has anybody tried any of their items? I’ve watched a few review videos on YouTube about their base layers, but I’m more interested in their outer layers.
I’d be interest to see if anybody on this forum has personally tried their product.
I don’t think they’ve been around long enough yet.

The real fact is the guy is a rich person..guess you need to be to start a company like this..but in fact he does not live in Puerto Rico..he lives in Montana. He did get a crazy contract under Whitefish energy company to work in PR after the hurricane.
His model is very good though on the clothing line. All sourced materials from the US and all made at locations here in the US. I sent an email off to KUIU to ask about the China supply chain they have. They have moved 90 percent out of China but not to the US. So hunting brothers and sisters if you work in the US and have an idea of supporting our workers here then this is an option to consider. You can take exception to his contract in PR but not him being rich. At least he is attempting to provide a living for those who like to work within the industry of hunting and provide a choice to all of us looking to source our goods here in the USA.
Fact check, he does not live in Montana. He use to. Forloh has an office and a store there. However the company is 100% a Puerto Rican company. It’s corporate headquarters are in Puerto Rico. It is registered in Puerto Rico — verifiable fact. The owner, Andy Techmanski is a full time resident for tax reasons. He lives in Dorado PR on an exclusive golf course with his 21 year old girlfriend that he left his wife for. He is doing so to evade paying federal taxes. So it’s an American company depending on your thoughts on PRs relationship with the US. I wouldn’t say it qualifies as a buy American company. He does have manufacturing in the LA area so that is good.

I like to buy American because it creates jobs in America and the higher quality of American-made goods in general.

I don't buy American because I'm concerned about the federal government not getting enough tax money. Maybe it's just me.

From what I understand forlohs stuff is 100% American sourced and American made. So i would think that would be a fair amount of Americans involved in that chain from raw material to final product that are paying taxes. I wonder the amount of US tax that isn’t paid by Sitka and kuiu’s foreign material and labor chain?

Should the owner be paying his taxes (if he isn’t)? Of course.

Will I choose a product that’s 100% American made, over a company that makes their taxable profit off the backs of under payed foreign labor and cheaper foreign material? Absolutely

Responding to a different post.. I have publicly posted my name. I'm not the founder of the company, but was hired this year to run sales. Lots of keyboard cowboys and trolls in this. I will never speak badly on our competition, they all make incredible gear. Many people woking with those brands are my friends.

FORLOH just took a different approach and its 100% designed, sourced and made in the USA. We have 15+ people working in three different locations in Whitefish MT. Designers across the US, and factories in the US making our raw materials, factories sewing our goods, and a full team of people on the tech side. Overall, we have 40-60 US citizens(all making $15 + an hour, with benefits) paying income tax. Anyone here that knows basics about business will clearly know that corporations only pay taxes on profits, and those people will also know that start-ups take years to be profitable.
