Ammo for 7prc

What factory ammo are you guys finding good results with for 7prc? Gonna be used for out west hunting primarily. Gun is a browning xbolt speed with 24” barrel

When I first got my 7mm PRC 2 years ago not much was available so I got a box of Hornaday EldX 175 and they shot well.
But I immediately started handloading Berger 175 EH and never looked back

I’ve always had good luck with precision hunter for factory ammo. Think I have 5 different calibers now that I can’t beat it so I don’t reload for it.

For factory ammo the Federal Premium 175 ELD-X shot better for me than Hornady did.
I've heard this from multiple 7PRC owners.

Also, the Barnes 160 LRX factory load is becoming avialable in the real world. This is a new 284 LRX bullet that was supposedly designed specifically for the 7PRC. I havent seen any on the shelves but my buddy found some online.

Every gun is unique. Only one way to find out.
I agree.
When I bought my 7PRC (Seekins Havak Element 22" bbl 1:8 TW) only Hornady 175 ELDX and 160 CX were avialable.
Hornady 175 ELDX shot about 0.8 MOA for 3 shots.
Hornaday 160 CX shot terrible, 1.5 MOA or worse for 3 shots.

I'm how handloading 155 Hammer Hunters which shoot under 1/2 MOA for 5 shots.

Should be easy to experiment with factory ammo since you only have about 4-5 options for a hunting bullet
