Not a real hot topic but again today I noticed the availability of ammo. At 3 stores I saw fairly well stocked shelves. Fairly well by todays standards.
Nows the time to grab a box here and there when you got an extra $30 or $40. During the next panic you’ll be glad to have it or glad to sell it.

Have you been seeing the more common hunting calibers? All I've seen is pretty much the more rare stuff. Haven't found any .17 Rem., .338 Win. Mag., .375 H&H, etc.

You can find a big selection of all the common stuff in my area.

I used to say I’m not chambering it unless Lapua makes brass for it. Now days I’m not chambering it unless it’s one of Hornady’s cartridges. They support their stuff way too well.

We've been fully stocked on pretty much every caliber at all the stores here for a while now. No empty spaces at the Academy or Bass Pro stores. 10mm hard ball is still stupid expensive though.

Wait for a glut and rebates combined with sale prices.

That’s nice if you happen to hit it but one big national shooting and you missed the boat waiting for a sale.

Best to grab it as you can it’ll average out in the long run.

Here in northwest Ohio stock is starting to swell. I imagine prices are going to drop even more soon. Jeff

after the first ammo gun scare when Obama got elected I chose to learn from that and slowly bought reloading supplies when work was good.
when Speer & Federal rebates came around later I bought.
I just won’t buy when prices are high and I don’t need to.

I hope youre right. Im not always that optimistic.
The bonus is ammo and components don't go bad. And if looked at in the longer term whatever i buy at regular or sale prices will cost more in 10yrs. Sometimes its wildly out of touch with inflation.
