Am I the only test dummy on site?

I'm having a real hard time not buying the same gun, or..... maybe..... the 28 Nosler. Looking forward to seeing how you get along with the gun. Thank you for being the test dummy.

There is no free lunch - so if you're going to push it very hard just order an extra barrel right now.

PUSH IT HARD!
That round has "hotrod" scribbled all over it. Will you be reloading?

Would be curious too see real world #s from that rifle w/ factory ammo, and/or reloads.

Thanks & have fun!!!

Yes, but not until after hunting season. I'm getting the nosler tglr accubond in 129 and 142. I may try the barnes that doubletap loads up, but that is pushing 3600.

I'm with KMD. This caliber was designed to be a rocket. The only way to find out is to load it hard. Don't expect terribly long barrel life, but the real question becomes as to how many times are you going to need to shoot it once you have your load developed. Frankly, once its set, only need a few sighters a year and shots at animals. I get enough shooting with other rifles so my big game guns don't get very many shots down the tube. I have the load I really like and see no need to change at this point. Prairie dogs give me all the target shooting I need. Trigger time is trigger time once you are comfortable with a gun.

Too bad Cooper isn't offering the 26 and 28 Noslers with their barrel replacement policy.

I'm not worried about the barrel. If it burns out, I will by another one or another gun. I doubt I ever shoot 800 rounds in it. Going to be fun. Pics later.
