Altra Arrows 30% off

Do you know anything about these? I’ve been thinking about up some 166 shafts?

Some 300s arrived in Friday and 250s today.

I was really unsure about their insert system, I thought a good test would be to put a rubber blunt on and shoot some big flat rocks. It took a few tries to bend it within the hour glass shape. The shaft was fine.

I pulled the collar off and straightened it. The insert part had popped out about an 1/8th inch so I got it hot and pulled it out. Since the end of the shaft took some heat, glued everything back together and glued the collar into the shaft. It is now a grouse arrow.

They tuned up fine on Saturday with my cutthroats, and I'll hunt with them.

Never heard of them. What makes them better than the 20 shafts currently on the market?

Don't know yet, they might not be. They are priced well, especially at 30% off, and beside my above comment about one being hard to break, they all spun straight.

It's a new brand of The Outdoor Group.

I decided to pop on this. Not sure if it was a good idea or not, but decided to check them out. I have been using the VAP TKO Gamers the last couple years, but figured I would branch out and see what the Centrum 246 w/ the heavy inserts are all about.
