I thought I would start a thread for folks to post up the different types of hipbelt pouches they are running, aside from the normal ones of course.

I just found these little gems to mount on my 26" tactical duplex.

These cost me about $12 bucks a piece. They can open either left or right side with the dual zipper pulls. Molle mounted. They are very smooth with one handed operation. Good amount of space in the pouch. They are made to be turned inside out and mounted on a loop field. I will never use them for that, so I plan on removing all the hook on the inside along with the handle and redundant zipper pulls to lighten them a bit.

I always wanted to get some kifaru belt pouches but with all the gear I need for upcoming trips I was looking for cheaper options and these will work just fine.

Nice find. I've been impatiently waiting for the MR belt pouches to come back in stock. This looks like a good alternative.

I've gradually gone to all Nimrod pouches on my pack belt. They can also attach to packs. I've got one on my rock climbing harness that I use in treestands.
The fleece-like material is quiet. The pouch is lined and the fastener is easy to open/close with one hand. Multiple sizes.

I didn't like the MR belt pouches. They are pretty small and the single zipper is a horrible design; the right pouch zips open with the swing of my rifle. I bought two small kifaru pouches which are slightly larger and have double zippers so they can be opened or closed at either end. If you want two MR pouches in foliage I will sell them to you for $10 PP gift shipped.

I went ahead and ordered one. A friend has made his own from a pocket he found at Walmart but i doubt it cost much less than these.

Thanks for the heads up and the honest review. I'll give the Kifaru pouches a look.

Guys--you should post your experience in the field with these off brand pouches. If you haven't had significant time in the field abusing them it's not something I would use or forewarn the forum users anyway. There is a pile of pouches on the market and cheap doesn't mean good. I've damn near ruined a hunt with broken zippers and loosing gear out of cheap zippers that split on a name brand pack. The ones I posted above are not really cheap, but high quality options.

Eh...for that price I just ordered one to try. Thanks.

I tried those pouches from Tactical Gear. They seem alright although one of mine arrived with a broken snap. I didn't hear back from their CS after submitting via their web form but finally called today and they are replacing it. Still, it doesn't give me a lot of confidence in those snaps.

Oh, while I was on their site today I noticed these are on sale for $12. Even with the snap issue, probably worth $12 to give them a try.

I ordered these too after seeing this thread and the exact same thing happened to one of my buttons. I didn't bother with CS, just going to add a loop of Velcro to supplement the non buttoned tab.

Agree on the BFG pouches. Check out their Tenspeed line too if you don't need a zippered closure. I mounted a 2-mag one to my belt and it held bear spray and a multi-tool perfectly.
