Alps Commander Pack

Still trying to decide on my pack for September. I just asked about a couple other packs but was also curious if anyone has ever modified the Alps Commander Bag to carry meat and the bag itself (Not the X bag). Got it gifted to me brand new but this bag has pins that pin it to the frame, not straps. Curious if anyone has ever made it work so I don’t have to make an extra trip for the bag itself after hauling meat. How it sits you have to detach the bag completely to use the meat hauler.

Just get 4-6 extra long straps and hook them to the frame them to or around the bag.

Put the meat in the bag. You want the majority of the weight in the top 2/3.
