Last year I purchased a set of 10x50 Swarovski EL (latest models with newest coating/glass) and now just recently purchased a set of Zeiss Victory SF 10x42 (gray model) to compare. Curiosity killed the cat, and here we are. I hunted with the EL's all last year and they performed great for me. After comparing these for the last few days, I cannot decide which I like better. The glass is so close that I cannot see a difference. There are things I like and dislike with each. Well, I shouldn't say dislike, as a guy is pretty lucky to own either set. If you get nitpicky btw the 2 sets, there are things I like more in different areas. Example, I like the focuser on the Zeiss better, but like the eye cups better on the ELs. I only have room for 1 pair in the budget, and with me not being able to decide, I figured I would list them both and whichever sells goes, and I will keep the other.
The EL's are like new. They come with everything as new, minus the Swarovski neck strap. I ran into a guy looking for one and sold it. Most of you guys use a harness anyway, so I doubt it will be missed. Glass is in perfect shape. I'd let these go for $1750.00 tyd, buyer pays paypal fees or sends MO.
Victory SF are new. They are 7 days old now, and have only been unboxed and looked through at my house to compare to the ELs. Never been off the back porch. They come with all paperwork and accessories. Would go $1600.00 tyd on these, again buyer pays fees or pays with a money order.
