I tried running an HPG kit bag with my binos and stuff for hunting for a few trips and it got so heavy and crammed with stuff I began to hate it. I keep my kit bag now for general hikes, biking, skiing, stuff like that. I use it especially in more populated places where not everyone needs to know I’m carrying. I’ve switched to a SG bino harness and won’t go back to anything else anytime soon. Having a few pockets for kill kit, emergency stuff, and quick access to a spare mag is a game changer for me. I haven’t seen anything that does it all without some short falls.

If you want a pack you can carry it all in and use for fly fishing, I’d get the fishpond or umpqua system. Has the small backpack you can put a water bladder in.

Thanks for all the replies. I decided to stick with my current hunting setup and just get a dedicated one for fishing. Seems like most everyone hates a do all rig.

Kifaru Steelhead is what I use turkey hunting/ and fly fishing for spotted bass. I added a FHF bino bucket to the back pocket designed for carrying a pistol. I typically don't worry about a pistol when turkey hunting, so my binos's go where a pistol is designed to go, but you could put the binos in the front pocket and keep the pistol in the back.
