So I had to have one of these bad boys.. Its a Alite Monarch Chair. It weighs in at 21 ounces and packs down to the side a Nalgene and a little longer. Great design with 2 legs that you have to balance on. This thing is incredibly comfortable. Definitely worth the 21 ounces to throw in the pack so I can have a little comfort at night around the Camp fire.

Cost 70 bucks at REI.

In one of the pictures it shows the guy having a beer while balancing in the chair. Not sure how long that would last!

It would be hilarious if a few of the guys brought those up on the Rokslide hike next year. I can see Hells Canyon falling out of his now!

Iv been wanting a kifaru field chair for months, my buddy said he would get one for my birthday for me, that was back in april. Now im without a chair.

Have you tried the kifaru field chair? 10oz sounds a whole heck of a lot better than 21.

Was Mike drunk? ;)

Next year I'm going to pack in a full sized lawn chair for as much sitting around as we did. :) We should go into the Mildred Lakes next year in the Olympics. My old man says the fishing is killer.

I've got one of these as well. It's small enough that you can just throw it in your day pack and have a nice comfy seat when you stop for lunch or whatever. My buddy gave me mine for my birthday.

If you lean up against a tree, so that you're tilted back into the tree you can even take a nap without falling over. I am 1/1 on testing out that theory so far :)

That looks like a great chair for camp and glassing, too bad they don't come in highlander.

Just got a Kifaru field chair, pretty nifty. Treated the bottom of the fabric with Rustoleum Never Wet to help keep my hi-knee dry on the ground. The two part treatment discolors the material, but that don't matter for this application. 11 oz. and packs up small. The Field chair is comfortable enough on the ground to pack it along to Colorado on Thursday. We'll see how much I like it after 8 days in the back country...
