She thought I’d be done. Unfortunately for her I did not find one.

It will be years before I can go again.

Two months after everything, I only remember the good parts. Much like most big trips. I need more.

What’s any luck I’ll find time to go do some boat work and get it prepped for a three or four the trip soon…. Plus deer hunt…. Plus Oh Halloween plus Thanksgiving plus family plus….

Just feeling a little bit spread thin

I loved all the pics and your write of your AK trip. To be honest even if you had been successful the urge to get back up there to hunt could be just as strong or even more, at least that’s what happened to me. After moving to Florida myself, I decided a few years ago to make hunting in Alaska a yearly trip for as long as I’m able. If your ever in need of a moose hunting partner down the road your welcome to hunt with me.

Inspiring! You'll get there and spread thin is an understatement: been there, kind of still there as they get older. SO critical to discuss, set, write down and hold to priorities because if you're a good man (not claiming I am one! I've just seen them!), everyone wants your time and the little things conspire to pull you away from what's important.

Can't wait to read your next moose trip posting when there's one on the ground!

I am in the same boat! I went 4 years ago and didn't get one and my wife thought I would be done but went back again two years later and had a disaster of a trip but it keeps calling me and I booked another one in 2 more years!! the struggle is real!

It is truly an addiction. I started with a caribou hunt about 10 years ago and have since been up on 5 moose hunts. Got a couple caribou that first trip but it took me 5 try’s to finally catch a moose. Going back for moose next year and then Kodiak deer in 2024.

Trip 1. Caribou fly out on north slope. Still my all time favorite hunt ever.

Trip 2. Float trip south Brooks. No animals were harmed.

Trip 3. Cook Inlet. My brother got his moose.

Trip 4. Back floating the Brooks. Called in 5 bulls but none 50”

Trip 5. Western Alaska. 57 moose but never got on a good one. Nephew took a meat bull near the end.

Trip 6. Last year back in the west. Finally caught up with one. My buddy got a really nice one.
