Alaska closes spring bear

As I mentioned above, it was going to change. Governor just announced, NO CHANGE to Resident Bear Seasons. However, NON-Residents are not allowed to hunt Spring Bear this season.

Are you sure. Any alaskan can participate in bear subsistence hunts if we wanted to get to a unit that offers it. Unless my memory is off.

but, those of us that signed the petition, we got the season opened back up.

I come into contact with 0 people bear hunting. How’s that going to spread Coronavirus?

Ain't that the truth, we have a pile here and I know there's even more outside of town no matter which direction one heads.

Snowing as we post. No crust on this fluff so sno-gos are difficult and if you try snowshoes and fall down, ya have a hell of a time getting up....at least I would.

From what I have heard and seen, they have closed millions of national forest acres in OR until the end of Sept. It's not a total closure but NF makes up a lot of ground especially west of 5.
