Bought a decent “cigarette lighter” compressor and a plug kit in Prudhoe Bay. It was expensive but fit in my luggage on the way home. We were able to help some guys with a flat on their rental the day we bought the kit.

Rent from Turo. Got a Suburban for two weeks up there - cost me $1600.

Comms from AK 4x4 here on Rokslide were terrible, when I called about booking they had nothing. Turo is where it's at.

Unfortunately that goes against Turo’s terms of service and truthfully that’s a dick move.

Turo owners let you do the Haul Road? I’m surprised… I figured they would prohibit that.

It’s against Turo terms of service. Same with hauling a trailer. If a Turo host lets you that’s on them and they risk getting kicked off the platform.

If something happens none of the insurance sill
Cover them Or the driver.

One reason I placeD a tracker on my vehicles.

guys few years ago i booked and had a reservation from u-haul whitehorse to do our last local move. unfortunately someone from alaska booked later on from alaska to lower 48 and the day we needed the truck it was gone ... renters can choose who they want as customers and customers can try to find different solutions or not ...

My truck is down for the count and used Alaska 4x4 for a last minute rental. Everything was pretty smooth with them. Would use them again in the future.

Walmart sells 12 volt air pumps for $20 and up.

Couldnt imagine a bicycle pump! Maybe a triathelete could do it.

I've pumped several tires up with a bike pump (don't ask). Can confirm, it sucks

We flew into Fairbanks at 2:30 am on the 8th and they had staged a 2500 for us in the rental lot. We were supposed to get a 1500. Other than fuel costs, it worked out well. Buy a pump and plug kit in FB though. A new tire in Prudhoe bay was 546 bucks.

So with Turo, I messaged the owner of vehicle to ensure she'd be ok with m e taking vehicle up the haul road, she said check "Turo policy" and on there it said no unmaintained roads so I cancelled with her.

The Dalton is maintained.

Turo intentionally leaves it pretty ambiguous. Do what you want with it.
