Looking for recommendations for gloves for AK this fall. I’ve got some merino 210’s, and a pair of Kuiu north ridge gloves. I’m looking for something in between, that’s not overly warm, has good feel and movement of hands/fingers, and is waterproof. I really like the axis gloves but they’re out of stock and I need to get something ordered as I leave in about 20 days. Any suggestions welcome! Also, If you’ve got something similar to what I’m describing for sale pm me.

What will you be doing up there? I ask because that can play a huge part in the gloves you might need.

Well be hunting moose and caribou in the seward peninsula area. About half the time will be spent hunting from a cabin/shack and about half will be backpacking with minimal gear.

That might be one of the hardest areas to fill a tag. Unless there is a cow tag. Good luck.

As far as gloves, I wear a pair of Cabelas hunting gloves and have a pair of gortex REI gloves for running my boat in the rain and cold.

You shouldn’t need anything fancy, because it shouldn’t be that cold. I honestly think what you have is all you need.
