Just got the approval this morning on what I Believe to be the first nano owned by an individual. Can't wait to get it picked up and start shooting it this weekend!

I am really interested in your take on it. I thought about grabbing 1, but last minute balked. I'd be curious how it suppresses 22cm compared to larger cans.

Initially I was thinking this wouldn't be enough, but the testing seems to show it is and can be very effective on larger .22 cf's.

I tried but missed it. I'd buy one right now but not going to set alarms or give lap dances for one. I do look forward to your review because I'd like to have one when they get ready to market things long enough for ding dongs like me to be able to buy one.

I don't know if they're doing the best they can or taking just the tip approach? I can't speak for anyone but myself but I'd like to see them open orders even with a wait time. I'm fine waiting for my 6.5(since thanksgiving) but it's kinda irritating I can't buy a nano. Not a bitch but it's like you'll take my money for one product you don't have but you won't for another?

Just put 70 rounds through the nano. About half on a 22 inch barreled 223 and half on 18 inch 22 Creed. This can is impressive! I can distinctly hear the firing pin on the 223. From the shooter's position it seems like the firing pins louder than the report of the rifle. I didn't notice appreciable mirage on either rifle but it was in the '20s today and reasonably windy.

Might try and get out tomorrow see if I can find a coyote and get what I'm assuming's the first kill with a nano.

Does anyone know why they threaded this in 5/8x24 when the standard barrel thread for .22 cal is 1/2x28? I see you have what looks like an adapter. Doesn’t make sense to me?

It’s easier to adapt smaller than larger. And tikkas are 5/8x24. That size is pretty popular among hunting 223s. This can is targeted at that bolt gun crowd.

Well, I can use an adapter to go from 1/2x28 to 5/8x24, but would have to have a 5/8x24 barrel cut and rethreaded to go the other way.

So, the 5/8x24 allows more host options.

Interesting, that makes sense. I hadn’t realized manufacturers were moving to that threading for .22 calibers as well. Sako 90 peak .223 still listed as 1/2x28, but they are usually year or two behind making changes it seems.

I had talked with Danny from airlock about this previous to the release. He was initially thinking about offering it both ways but many new bolt action 22cal rifles are coming with 5/8. He felt it was better to offer at 5/8 and then ship all of them with an adapter so that it would cover everybody. I agreed that this was the best solution to keep things simple and make it work for everyone. The adapters are stainless and weigh 11 grams. I didn't have it included in the picture because I picked it up from his shop separately. Mine's quasi pre-production. And in the interest of honesty and full disclosure I've become friends with Danny and participated in some of the earlier prototype testing. I'll try and give feedback as honestly as I can but I always hated when people had interests that they didn't disclose when they were reviewing products. I don't want anybody here to think I'm hiding anything.
