Airlines rated hard case recommendation.

I'm curious as to what kind of locks you are using. I've always used non TSA master locks and haven't had a problem. If a baggage handler has access to your case my guess is they'd go after the weapon with ammo over binoculars and range finders.

Really? You think a baggage handler is just gonna walk around carrying your numbered, DOJ registered rifle around the airport and nobody is gonna notice? Man I sure hope you're wrong.

I think what he's saying is a thief probably knows he's more likely to be inconspicuous walking around with a stolen pair of binos than a rifle/shotgun.
