Air pad?

I have a big agnes insulated air core, it seems to lose air over night but I was wondering if it just loses pressure from the the hot air I blow into it cooling off or if it leaks? I am going to check for leaks in the tub when I get a chance but was just thinking about it and figured I would ask.

Should lose much air at all from cooling so it sounds like a leak.

i had an IAC for many many years that finally got a leak which I could not find no matter the soapy water and swimming pools I put it in. still got it hid away.
my equally old [ steel valve] themarest did the same a couple years after the IAC. I sent it in and presto they sent me a brand new one.

That's their reputation...leaky POS mats. Get an EXPED.

Fact-based reply would be that Big Agnes had a manufacturing issue with the fabric in that particular pad, the air-sealing liner would slowly fail and cause dozens of almost undetectable leaks. They are impossible to patch, as they will continue to fail in new places. I had one, figured out what was going on and called them on it. They told me what was going on with that particular model and BA gave me a great price on the updated version of the pad. The new version uses a new fabric and air barrier.

I may have to do this with one of my Thermarests. -same thing, I just can't find the leak no matter what I do.

To find the microscopic holes in my Big Agnes pad, I filled the tub, then inflated the pad a folded it in half and fully knelt on it with both knees. With the pad stiffly filled and me kneeling on it I was able to find the dozens of leaks.
