Air Lock Industries Suppressor

Have you also used the LS wild ones? I am mainly curious on a how long it takes to see mirage comparison.
I haven’t used that one. I have used numerous other wraps before I landed on silicone.

Just my opinion, the LS Wild looks like a fine no slip cover.

However, the owner is a friend here so there seems to be a big push for his stuff. I have found the silicone slide on covers to be better in every way than the more traditional wraps.

I haven’t used the silicon ones, but in my experience the think Cole-Tacs are the best for mitigating mirage. But the one I had on my Scythe slipped a lot (I should have gotten the retention cord). The Cole-Tacs on my Raptors don’t slip, probably due to the ribs on the Raptor. But, being thicker can cause some obscurity in the bottom of your scope.

The LS Wild ones don’t slip. But they do soak up water.

That makes me wonder about intentionally getting it wet. ultralight when using it for a shot or two, pour water on it when at the range. (unless it gets steamy and it worse than mirage?)

It’s not a big deal either way. My POI hasn’t appeared to shift from getting wet. It just soaks up water and I don’t like that for a variety of reasons. I slide it off to let it dry out when I get done hunting for the day.

So far, using the LS Wild cover, I can comfortably sustain one shot per minute with my 22” 6.5 CM. I shoot ten shots in 3-5 minutes, let it cool for about five minutes with the breach open, then shoot another ten shots.

ahhh, gotcha... was crossing my fingers hoping that mine was gonna show up at the SOT any day but sounds like it I will know when it ships...

I’ve used both and prefer the LS. If you don’t get the wekatech cut perfectly, and it ends up on the shorter side, the mirage can still be pretty bad. Cut it perfectly and they work well. Also, the LS encloses the rear of the suppressor fully and can mitigate mirage right there better. For lightweight hunting both are better than the heavy tactical options in my opinion.

I wrap silicone heat tape on ends not covered by weka sleeve. Cover whole thing with coban than electrical tape the ends.
