Air Lock Industries Suppressor

I bought this suppressor on October 24th. They sent in my form 3 the next morning. Shipped October 29th. Had it in hand today and filled out my form 4. Six business days. Excellent company to do business with. Fastest turnaround yet on a suppressor. Thank you.

This answers my question in the PM lol.

Appreciate the feedback and that’s what we strive for! Would have been a few days quicker but they were still working through the govt shutdown backlog and the Form 3 took a few days extra.

Deleted the last post — quick update on the .22 prototype. It’s handling .22 Creedmoor without issue, and we’ve got a lot more testing ahead. Check out the video of Dioni shooting it on his .22 Creed over on our YouTube page. What kind of testing would you like to see next, and who should we send it to for review when the time comes?
Please test it on a Tikka T3X .223 with 16"- 18" barrels. There are a few of us with shorter barrel length bolt guns that would love a dedicated .22 can for our Tikka's.

Danny, would you please send one of these to the guys at Pew Science and let them do their thing? These guys have the most objective, most scientific approach to benchmarking performance of suppressors....without exception...

....would help alot of us get off the fence....

I wonder what the cost is to have Pew Science run their testing and analysis. AFAIK he doesn't really do stuff on his own dime anymore due to the demand backlog (just my guess).

It’s been stated a ton that they only accept cans from company established for greater than a year

Yeah, I

Yeah, I understand….but if he wants objective, data driven evidence of what he is marketing….its worth his money…

The Pewscience scale has nothing scientific behind it. Its also expensive.

There's like $20k of suppressor testing equipment in the other room behind me. What's up.

Ken
That’s wonderful Ken. From the bottom of my heart, I genuinely hope you have developed a technology that is game changing. If you have, I would like to purchase at least a couple of your suppressors.

Peer review is the method by which the scientific community validates their creations. I will call Pew tomorrow and see how much they charge to perform their testing. If it’s reasonable, I will pay for it out of my pocket and share the results…

Pew science isn’t peer review. Not saying good or bad on it, but it isn’t “peer review” when you have hidden methodologies and standards that you won’t tell anyone.

“Peer review” is what happens at the TBAC Summit. All the testing methodology is public and documented. And the “peers” - other manufacturers- are there to keep it honest.

Pew science is a third party testing service that charges manufacturers to test their gear and consumers to get the test results. A classic middleman business. And everything is private and proprietary.

Pew Science has made big claims about being peer reviewed, but has never bothered to prove it. Since I know a thing or two about acoustics from substantial work in another field, this irks me. The TBAC Summit came into existence for good reason, even if it isn't perfect (but what is?).
